As a key member of the Technology Division’s Client Services Department, the Program Supervisor – supervises the staff and daily operations of the Student Records team. The Program Supervisor-Student Records will manage a staff of client care specialists to greet customers and provide student records via a walk-up station, electronic mail, or mail. This role will be responsible for archiving, cataloguing and indexing physical warehouse documents in preparation for records management digitization, as well as ensuring timely processing of requests for transcripts, diplomas and education verifications. This position is accountable for managing and developing processes and procedures for the continued efficiency in the handling,retention and delivery of academic records based on the State of Michigan Records Retention and Disposal Schedule for Michigan Public Schools. The successful candidate must be committed to fostering a welcoming environment for a diverse population of students, parents, staff and other constituents across the District.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a High school diploma/GED with at least five (5) years of experience directly related to records management, archives, or related field.

If you are a current Detroit Public Schools employee, presently employed with the district, you do not have to submit a fee related to obtaining the Detroit Public Schools security clearance, unless your new role requires a different type of security clearance.
If you are hired to fill a vacant position, you will be required to submit a Detroit Public Schools security clearance.
