In accordance with the Agreement between the Detroit Federation of Teachers (DFT) and the Board of Education of the School District of the City of Detroit, the following vacancy is announced.
Position Summary:
The Multilingual Academic Interventionist will be based at the central office and report to the Sr. Director of Multilingual Education. The MLL AI will be assigned a caseload of schools with populations of Multilingual Learners to support teachers to adapt core content curriculum to give access to Multilingual Learners. Also, the MLL AI will support instruction with targeted small group academic and language interventions. This role involves traveling to different schools to implement support strategies, collaborate with school staff, and utilize data-driven approaches to enhance student outcomes.
