Position Summary:
The ESE Lead Administrator of Exceptional Student Education (ESE) works under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent to provide leadership, coordinate programming with supervisors, and ensure ESE staff are available to provide support, specialized instruction and services to students with IEPs and IFSPs.
The ESE Lead Administrator of ESE will use their Exceptional knowledge of organization and management, theory and practice to work collaboratively with central office and building based staff to optimize operational efficiency in the implementation of District policy and special education compliance mandates related to Exceptional Student Education service delivery.
This position will possess knowledge of, and commitment to, accountability for results that facilitate creative processes toward achievement of District and ESE department goals, the ability to work and communicate effectively with people to focus resources (both human and financial) toward the achievement of goals, and the ability to facilitate group processes, conflict resolution, planning and decision making. In addition, they will provide support, supervision, and necessary feedback to ESE supervisors and staff to achieve desired District goals in response to needs at the school and classroom level, while ensuring consistency and standardization across the District.
