Position Summary: The Security Officer works to protect students, staff and school property by patrolling buildings both while classes and activities are being conducted. Works to maintain order and prevent and control incidents of violence directed at students, staff and school facilities by patrolling the interior and exterior of the building.

If you are a current Detroit Public Schools Community District employee, you do not have to submit to a new security clearance, unless your new role requires a different type of criminal background check.
